Creating history and contemporary material in this harmony symbiosis space. The old building precipitated by history in a bright flash of neon lights in the Bund. The harmony atmosphere transition from the old to the new and The new replaces the old, dating us back to the old China era.

In order to achieve designers request in being "industry" and "a mix of old and new", HEYI continually trial new process to "restore" the old finishing. The walls and pillars have been carefully maintained and treated, although they seemingly none extra work placed.

Glass with large-area used in the project to form "permeability", almost all of the glass needs to be customized and the installation process, be frankly to say, is a challenging work. The transfer and transition between glass and other materials is really a test of the construction process and ability. It needs the craft man with extremely patient and detailed work.

19 rooms each with its own characteristics and layout. In order to overview the Bund landscape, the glass window without frame is used as the facade. It is for ensuring the natural light goes into interior space and creating transparent visual sense. Other material, like marble and wood for instance are barely presented without any decorative process. It needs full patient and care during high standard process and installation.
